The central characteristic of Alchimie is wood, spice, subtle herb, balsamic warmth, all rounded with notes of Vanilla and a hint of rose.
The top note blends citrus, spice and Cabreuva, making it warm, slightly peppery with a hint of soft wood.
The top note gives way to a heart note of soft floral notes and subtle and complex spice and narcotic notes, blending seamlessly into base notes of complex wood, balsam, Labdanum, Oakmoss and Vanilla.

Alchimie is the French spelling of Alchemy. Alchimie is an ancient branch of natural philosophy, a philosophical and proto-scientific tradition that was historically practiced in China, India, the Muslim world, and Europe. In could be argued that the tradition is the forerunner of modern chemistry.
The popular story [myth] of the Alchemist is of a person trying to change base metals such as Lead into noble metals, particularly Gold. On a more esoteric level it the transformation of the ego nature into a high vibration.
This process was essentially the perfection and integration of the human body and soul was thought to result from the alchemical magnum opus or "Great Work".
On a more applicable level, it [Alchimie] is the blending many plant oils together to create a smell that is hand to discern from it's constituent parts. In other words a transmutation of the elements into something new and unknown before its creation.
